JOHN DEERE 4020 TRACTOR MANUALS AND PARTS

Deemed the most popular tractor of its time, the John Deere 4020 was produced between 1964 and 1972. During the 8 year period, only a few minor changes were made. These changes included a thinner oval muffler for better viability, a relocation of the hydraulic controls from the left side of the dash, to a console to the right of the operator. 

At 84 drawbar horsepower, and 96 PTO horsepower, the 4020 was no slouch. When the wildly successful 4010 was released, John Deere listened to the suggestions of its customers, and the 4020 was born. Some additions from the previous model included a locking differential, better built, heavier rear axles, and could be ordered with the newly devolved Power Shift transmission, dual rear wheels, and even a heated and air conditioned cab.
